Being in Tropical Rain Forest and sharing the same resources make us partners and cohabiters of the other rainforest occupants.

We keep an eye on the critters that you may encounter. Please keep the door closed to prevent any insects or animals from crawling in.

The following are few of the creatures that may cross your path during your stay in Tropical Magnolia. Small frogs (. They are always looking for water)

Geckos. Very common throughout tropics.

Green garden snakes. They are harmless, usually seen hanging around the Garden looking for insects,

Iguanas like to eat vegetations in the garden also like to be near water. They are shy animals usually try to run away from humans.

Larger wild cats like Jaguar are in our jungle. They stay away from humans. We have  large populations of frogs  near the ponds (They sing in chorus at night especially in the rainy season.)

There are poisonous snakes in the jungles of Belize. We strongly advice to have a guide with you especially at night when you explore the farm. A commonsense rule is “never step anywhere in the farm where you cannot see the ground” or touch plants or animals that you see in the farm without your guides approval.

We have “drfly” (similar to cattle fly), Mosquitos especially after rainy days, Botfly, and many other seasonal flies. Our guides are knowledgeable about most of these creatures and what to do about them. Insect repellant may help. Touching some plants may cause allergic reaction. Some fruits are poisonous especially when immature.
